How we verify every deliverable before it leaves

Engineering advice is only as good as the check behind it. This is the process every commission goes through, without exception and regardless of size.

DISCUSS YOUR PROJECT

Step 1. Data completeness check, before we start

We confirm the input set is complete before any work begins, and we tell you in writing what is missing. Our stated turnaround runs from the complete data set, not from the date of instruction, because a study built on assumed inputs is not a study.

Step 2. Analysis and design

Carried out by a named engineer with the relevant discipline experience, holding CEng or IEng registration, using the software and method stated on the service page. Assumptions are recorded as they are made, not reconstructed afterwards.

Step 3. Independent internal check

A second engineer, who did not carry out the work, checks the model, the inputs, the method and the conclusions. Comments are raised formally and each one is closed in writing before the document moves on.

Step 4. Technical approval

Our Technical Director approves the deliverable for issue, and is named to you at proposal stage. Approval covers the method, the standard applied and the defensibility of the conclusion.

Step 5. Jurisdictional sign off, where required

Where local law reserves engineering sign off to licensed professionals, a named engineer of record licensed in that jurisdiction reviews the deliverable, has authority to require changes, and signs. We identify that engineer, with their registration number, at proposal stage. The supervision arrangement is documented, so the chain of responsibility is auditable.

Step 6. Issue, with the verification record

You receive the deliverable together with a verification record stating who carried out the work, who checked it, who approved it, the dates, the software and version used, the standards applied, and the comments raised and closed.

What you can ask us for

A sample verification record, before you instruct. A worked example of the deliverable itself. A walkthrough of the project record system we use to manage your commission. None of these require you to commit to anything.

Quality management

The process above is our quality management system and it is operated on every commission.
