A digital twin is a real-time virtual replica of a physical building, connected to live sensor and BMS data. NOVTRIQ creates digital twins using a 6-step process: LiDAR scan → point cloud → BIM model → Autodesk Tandem integration → AI analysis layer → client dashboard. Can you retrofit existing buildings with smart technology?
Yes. Most of our work involves retrofitting existing infrastructure rather than new builds. We start with a physical survey to capture current conditions, then layer digital intelligence on top — connecting existing BMS systems, adding IoT sensors where needed, and building the AI analysis layer.
