How we use software and AI

AI is used for

• Literature and regulation research
• First drafts of text
• Document review and summarising
• Checking our own work for internal consistency
• Administrative work

AI is not used for

The engineering calculation, the selection of method or standard, the engineering judgement, or the conclusion. No deliverable is produced by an AI system.

Every deliverable is calculated by a named engineer, checked by a second engineer, and approved by our Technical Director before issue. Our verification process is published in full: how we verify every deliverable.

Your data

We tell you before we start which tools will process your project information, and we will work without AI assistance on request at no additional cost. We do not use client project data to train any model.
